Installing the App
LaborWise can be installed as an app on your phone, tablet, or computer for quick access without opening a browser.
Install from the Menu
On mobile devices, you’ll find a permanent Install App option at the bottom of the sidebar menu. Open the menu (hamburger icon) and scroll to the bottom to find it. This option only appears when you’re using a browser — once the app is installed, it automatically disappears.
- Android / Chrome: Tapping Install App opens the native install prompt. Tap Install to confirm.
- iPhone / iPad: Tapping Install App shows a reminder to use the Share button and “Add to Home Screen” (see manual instructions below).
Install Prompt
When you first visit LaborWise in a mobile browser, you may also see a banner at the bottom of the screen prompting you to Install App. Tap the Install button to add the app to your home screen.
If you dismiss the banner, it will appear again after 7 days. The sidebar menu item is always available as an alternative.

App Branding
The installed app uses your organization’s branding from Settings → Appearance. Admins can configure separate branding for the mobile app under the Mobile App section:
- App icon — The mobile app logo (falls back to the sidebar logo if not set)
- App name — The mobile app name (falls back to the organization name)
- Splash background — The background color for the splash screen and icon padding
- Theme color — Your configured button color
If these are not set, the default LaborWise branding is used.
Using a white logo in the sidebar? Upload a separate mobile app logo that works on light backgrounds — the splash screen uses a light background by default.
On Android, branding changes auto-update within 24–48 hours. On iOS, users must remove the app and re-add it to their home screen to see updated icons and names.
