Disciplinary Cases
Track disciplinary proceedings involving union members.
Overview
Disciplinary cases work similarly to grievances but are used to track when a member faces disciplinary action from their employer.
Disciplinary List
Navigate to Disciplinary to see all cases. The list shows:
- Case number
- Member name
- Type (Attendance, Performance, Conduct, etc.)
- Priority
- Status
- Filed date
Customizing Columns
Drag column headers to reorder them. Click the column settings icon to show or hide columns and adjust their visibility.
Creating a Case
- Navigate to Disciplinary
- Click New Case
- Select the member involved
- Fill in the case details:
- Type of discipline
- Priority
- Description
- Incident date
- Click Create
Case Workflow
Like grievances, disciplinary cases move through configurable steps:
- Investigation — Initial fact-finding
- Interview — Member interview
- Decision — Employer’s decision
- Appeal — If applicable
- Closed — Final resolution
Configure your workflow steps in Settings → Disciplinary.
Case Details
Each case page includes:
- Description — Full description of the case
- Steps Timeline — Visual progress through workflow steps
- Discussion — Internal communication thread
- Tasks — Related action items
- Documents — Related files and evidence
- Notes — Private notes
- Contract Violations — Linked contract articles that were violated
- Activity Log — Timeline of all changes to the case
Generating PDFs
Generate professional PDF documents from your disciplinary case data:
- Open a case detail page
- Click Generate PDF in the sidebar
- Select a template from the dropdown
- Click Generate & Download
Templates are configured in Settings → PDF Templates. Variables like {{case.number}} and {{member.firstName}} are automatically replaced with the case’s actual data.
Bulk Actions
Select multiple cases to perform actions in bulk:
- Use the checkboxes on the left side of the case list
- Use the select all checkbox in the header to select all visible cases
- A bulk action bar appears at the bottom with available actions:

| Archive | Archive selected cases |
| Change Status | Update the status of all selected cases |
| Delete | Permanently delete selected cases (with confirmation) |
Click Clear Selection to deselect all.
Deadlines
Each workflow step can have a deadline. You’ll receive in-app notifications when step deadlines are approaching or overdue.
Text Snippets
Use pre-configured text snippets for common documentation. Manage snippets in Settings → Disciplinary.
