Members

The Members module is the foundation of LaborWise, storing all information about your union members.

Viewing Members

Navigate to Members in the sidebar to see your member list. You can:

  • Search — Find members by name, email, or member ID
  • Filter — Filter by department, status, or employment type
  • Sort — Click column headers to sort

Customizing Columns

Drag column headers to reorder them. Click the column settings icon to show or hide columns and adjust their visibility.

Adding a Member

  1. Click Add Member
  2. Fill in the required fields:
    • First Name
    • Last Name
    • Status
  3. Add optional information:
    • Contact details (email, phone, address)
    • Employment details (hire date, job title, department)
    • Custom fields (if configured)
  4. Click Save

Member Profile

Click on any member to view their profile, which includes:

  • Overview — Basic information and quick stats
  • Documents — Files attached to this member
  • Grievances — Grievances filed by or for this member
  • Disciplinary — Disciplinary cases involving this member
  • Notes — Internal notes about the member

Editing Members

  1. Open the member’s profile
  2. Click Edit in the top right
  3. Make your changes
  4. Click Save

Bulk Actions

Select multiple members to perform actions in bulk:

  1. Use the checkboxes on the left side of the member list
  2. Use the select all checkbox in the header to select all visible members
  3. A bulk action bar appears at the bottom with available actions:

DeletePermanently delete selected members (with confirmation)

Click Clear Selection to deselect all.

Member Statuses

Members can have different statuses (e.g., Active, Retired, On Leave). Configure these in Settings → Member Statuses.

Custom Fields

Need to track additional information? Add custom fields in Settings → Custom Fields.

Import & Export

Importing Members

  1. Go to Settings → Import/Export
  2. Download the CSV template
  3. Fill in your data
  4. Upload and map fields

Exporting Members

Only Admin and Representative users can export member data. Viewers do not have access to the export function.

  1. Go to Settings → Import/Export
  2. Click Export Members
  3. Choose your format (CSV)
