Grievances
Track and manage union grievances from initial filing through resolution.
Grievance List
Navigate to Grievances to see all grievances. The list shows:
- Grievance number
- Member name
- Current step/status
- Priority
- Filed date
- Deadline
Customizing Columns
Drag column headers to reorder them. Click the column settings icon to show or hide columns and adjust their visibility.
Creating a Grievance
- Click New Grievance
- Select the Member filing the grievance
- Fill in the details:
- Description of the grievance
- Priority (Low, Medium, High, Critical)
- Relevant dates
- Click Create
A grievance number will be automatically assigned based on your case number settings.
Grievance Workflow
Grievances move through configurable steps. Common workflows include:
- Filed — Initial submission
- Step 1 — First level meeting
- Step 2 — Second level meeting
- Arbitration — If unresolved
- Resolved — Final outcome
Advancing Steps
- Open the grievance
- In the workflow section, click Complete Step
- Add any notes about the outcome
- The grievance moves to the next step

Generating PDFs
Generate professional PDF documents from your grievance data:
- Open a grievance detail page
- Click Generate PDF in the sidebar
- Select a template from the dropdown
- Click Generate & Download
Templates are configured in Settings → PDF Templates. Variables like {{grievance.number}} and {{member.name}} are automatically replaced with the grievance’s actual data.
Bulk Actions
Select multiple grievances to perform actions in bulk:
- Use the checkboxes on the left side of the grievance list
- Use the select all checkbox in the header to select all visible grievances
- A bulk action bar appears at the bottom with available actions:

| Archive | Archive selected grievances |
| Change Status | Update the status of all selected grievances |
| Delete | Permanently delete selected grievances (with confirmation) |
Click Clear Selection to deselect all.
Deadlines
Each workflow step can have a deadline. Overdue items are highlighted in the dashboard and grievance list. You’ll receive in-app notifications when step deadlines are approaching or overdue.
Searching & Filtering
Use the filters at the top of the grievance list to find specific cases:
- Status — Open, Resolved, All
- Step — Filter by current workflow step
- Priority — Filter by priority level
- Date Range — Filter by filed date
