Grievances

Track and manage union grievances from initial filing through resolution.

Grievance List

Navigate to Grievances to see all grievances. The list shows:

  • Grievance number
  • Member name
  • Current step/status
  • Priority
  • Filed date
  • Deadline

Creating a Grievance

  1. Click New Grievance
  2. Select the Member filing the grievance
  3. Fill in the details:
    • Description of the grievance
    • Priority (Low, Medium, High, Critical)
    • Relevant dates
  4. Click Create

A grievance number will be automatically assigned based on your case number settings.

Grievance Workflow

Grievances move through configurable steps. Common workflows include:

  1. Filed - Initial submission
  2. Step 1 - First level meeting
  3. Step 2 - Second level meeting
  4. Arbitration - If unresolved
  5. Resolved - Final outcome

Advancing Steps

  1. Open the grievance
  2. In the workflow section, click Complete Step
  3. Add any notes about the outcome
  4. The grievance moves to the next step

Overview Tab

  • Basic information
  • Current status and step
  • Timeline of events

Documents Tab

  • Upload and manage related files
  • Tag documents for organization

Messages Tab

  • Internal communication thread
  • Keep all discussions in one place

Notes Tab

  • Private notes visible only to your team

Tasks Tab

  • Related tasks and to-dos

Deadlines

Each workflow step can have a deadline. Overdue items are highlighted in the dashboard and grievance list.

Searching & Filtering

Use the filters at the top of the grievance list to find specific cases:

  • Status - Open, Resolved, All
  • Step - Filter by current workflow step
  • Priority - Filter by priority level
  • Date Range - Filter by filed date
